reports that the news of his passing was announced on Friday by News Central journalist Olawale Adigun via a post on his handle.

In his tribute, Adigun wrote: “The worst way to go into the weekend is hearing about Temisan Okomi’s passing. I’m so gutted and, at the same time, terrified. This man meant so much to me.”

The late Okomi worked with Classic FM 97.3 and had previously been associated with Lagos Television, HiTV, and other notable media organisations in Nigeria.

His last known post was on April 14, 2026, where he wrote: “The Champions League is hard, man.”

Mai-Lemo further stated that a collaboration between the two politicians, especially with backing from other regional leaders, could significantly reshape Nigeria’s political landscape.

He said: “I think we have to be very realistic… we have seen what alliances have done. At times it’s necessary to look at the reality on the ground to achieve your goals.

“In the whole country now, it’s only Peter Obi and Kwankwaso that have organic followers. Those followers are ready. There’s a lot to benefit from it.

“It will help close ranks between northern and eastern Nigeria, and the entire southern part of the country.

“I believe Tinubu’s ticket will be dead on arrival once Peter Obi and Kwankwaso work together with support from other leaders.”

The award-winning artiste made the revelation in the lyrics of his new song Moviestar, a collaboration with French pianist Sofiane Pamart.
