Rights activist Derrick Agberen has accused the Nigerian Senate of stalling on the Open Grazing Law while other nations benefiting from Nigeria’s resources have progressed in human rights and animal welfare. In a statement from Warri, Agberen lamented that despite ongoing legislative debates, Nigerian citizens remain impoverished, and the law has yet to yield any tangible results. Agberen criticized the National Assembly, stating that for years, it has distracted Nigerians by moving from one bill to another without enacting significant laws to improve citizens’ well-being. He warned that if the current situation persists, countries like Burkina Faso may become attractive destinations for Nigerians seeking stability, while politicians continue to manipulate the people without meaningful change.
