Lakurawa Group Strikes Again In Kebbi, Killing Telecom Workers And Another Victim
Terrorists from the Lakurawa group have killed three employees of a leading telecommunications company, just one week after killing two police officers in the region.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The attack occurred at a construction site in Gumki village, Arewa Local Government Area, Kebbi State, where the victims were installing a surveillance mast for the Nigeria Immigration Service. Along with the telecom workers, an unidentified person also lost their life in the assault.
A source from Sir Yahaya Specialist Hospital confirmed that three of the deceased were immigration staff.
However, Kebbi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Abubakar, confirmed that four people were killed, including one local resident and three staff members of Airtel.
Upon receiving the report, Kebbi’s Commissioner of Police, CP Bello M. Sani, and the Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Kebbi Command, CIS Muhammad Bashir Lawali, quickly mobilized forces to evacuate the bodies to Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital in Birnin Kebbi.
In response, the Commissioner of Police deployed additional tactical teams to the area, instructing them to take decisive action against the bandits operating there. He also urged the local population to assist security agencies by providing crucial information to help in their prompt response.
