Enyimba Draws With Al Masry, Faces Tough Test Against Zamalek In Final Group Match

Mohamed Hashem gave Al Masry the lead early on, scoring in the 8th minute.

Enyimba responded quickly after the break, with Ifeanyi Ihemekwele heading in the equalizer just two minutes into the second half.

The hosts’ goalkeeper, Ani Ozoemena, made a crucial save, denying Mahmoud Hamada from the penalty spot in the 68th minute.

The draw saw Enyimba rise to third place in the group with five points, and they now face an away trip to defending champions Zamalek of Egypt in their final group match next Sunday.

Zamalek secured their quarterfinal spot with a 3-1 win over Black Bulls of Mozambique.
