Speaking on Arise TV, Adaramola mentioned that the National Assembly may require a joint committee session of both the Senate and the House of Representatives to ensure the budget is passed swiftly.

He noted that the budget had only just been received on Wednesday and that the Senate would examine its details. The bill will first go through its readings and then be sent to the appropriation committees of both chambers. These committees will work together to review the budget, including its components.

Adaramola also provided details on the 2024 budget, revealing that the capital component will be extended to June 2025. This decision ensures that no ongoing projects will be abandoned, while the recurrent component of the 2025 budget will begin in January 2025.
