Governor Radda Recognizes Woman’s Honesty, Awards ₦500,000 For Returning Mistaken Payment
Malama Abdulkadir-Yanmama, a woman from Katsina, was rewarded with ₦500,000 by the state government for her honesty in returning ₦748,320 that was mistakenly credited to her account.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The amount, intended for the Federal Government’s Home Grown School Feeding Programme in the state, was mistakenly deposited into Yanmama’s account. Upon noticing the error, she returned the money, explaining that she was not involved in the program.
Katsina State’s Social Investment Programme Agency Executive Director, Dr. Mudassir Nasir, explained that Yanmama had received a payment notification for vendors supplying meals to primary school students. After verifying that she was not listed as a vendor, she returned the funds.
As a result of her integrity, Yanmama was rewarded with ₦500,000, a commendation letter, and an invitation to participate in future school feeding programs. Governor Dikko Radda praised her actions and encouraged others to follow her example.
Yanmama expressed her gratitude for the recognition and thanked the governor and KASIPA for their support.

In a viral video detailing the incident, Sandra explained that hours after participating in the morning service, taking communion, and paying her regular offering, she attempted to fund a voucher purchase by transferring N1,640,200 to her personal Zenith Bank account. Instead, the heavy sum was erroneously sent to the church account.
Making a public appeal to anyone with contacts at Streams of Joy International, the single mother of two stressed that the funds do not belong to her and that the rightful owners have already begun demanding the money.
