Abia PDP Ushers In New Leadership, Eyes 2027 Power Shift

After taking the oath, Abraham Amah, the new state chairman of PDP, emphasized that the new leadership would herald a fresh era for the party in Abia. He expressed the team’s commitment to repositioning the party and preparing it for a successful return to power in 2027.

Amah revealed that their agenda includes the establishment of a shadow government that will hold the current administration accountable and demand good governance. He also announced plans to set up an Elders Council, led by Chief Onyema Ugochukwu, to further strengthen the party.

Amah shared that many former party members who had left are eager to rejoin, and even those who contested against him in the election have expressed their congratulations, signaling unity within the party.

Other key members of the new State Working Committee include Gabriel Elendu (Vice Chairman, Abia North), Patrick Onwuka (Vice Chairman, Abia Central), and Chinyere Onuoha, among others.

  • Suspicious Circumstances: Raising questions about the sudden deaths, Nasera noted that the detainees had eaten well the day before, speculating that heat exposure or some form of administered substance may have been involved.
