In a recent episode of the Who’s In The House podcast, Don Jazzy explained that one of his main concerns is the reluctance of younger artists to actively promote their music on social media.

He said many of them prefer to maintain a carefully curated online image and are hesitant to frequently post content about their work, even when it involves promoting their own songs.

According to him, this often leads to disagreements within the label, as he encourages them to consistently showcase their projects online to boost visibility and engagement.

Don Jazzy noted that the issue is not limited to his signed artists alone, adding that even family members involved in entertainment face similar conversations with him.

He expressed confusion over what he described as a growing belief among Gen Z creatives that frequent self-promotion is unnecessary, stressing that consistent online visibility is important in today’s music industry.

He specifically mentioned Ayra Starr, saying she sometimes attributes her reluctance to post promotional content to feelings of imposter syndrome, which he believes affects how often she shares her work online.

He made this known during an interview on The Breakfast Club, where he spoke about his upbringing, family life, and the future he envisions for his children. According to him, he would rather they work in the businesses owned by his father, Deji Adeleke, instead of pursuing a career in entertainment.

Davido explained that his view was shaped by his personal experience while trying to establish himself in music. He recalled a difficult period when his father initially did not support his decision to go into entertainment, a situation that emotionally affected him. He added that his father only came around after realising how determined he was about his music career.

The singer noted that working in his father’s companies would offer his children a more stable and comfortable life compared to the struggles he faced while building his music career.

He also spoke fondly about the relationship between his father and his grandchildren, describing how happy it makes his father whenever they are together during family gatherings. According to him, this experience made him reflect deeply on what truly matters in life.

Despite his preference, Davido said he would not stop his children if they choose to pursue entertainment, adding that he would support them fully. He also revealed that one of his daughters already shows interest in music and performance.

He said: “My kids should go and work with my dad… My dad not wanting me in the entertainment really killed my joy until he saw that I was adamant about doing it. I wouldn’t want to do that to my kids as well.”

Talks between both fighters’ camps have reportedly resumed after previous attempts to finalise the bout collapsed over the years. Usyk, who has faced—and defeated—both heavyweights twice, said his recent time training alongside Joshua has strengthened his belief in the Briton’s readiness.

Joshua has been working in Spain with Usyk as part of his recovery and return to full fitness following a December car accident, after which he sustained minor injuries but has since resumed structured training.

Speaking to The Independent, Usyk praised Joshua’s commitment in camp, describing him as highly focused and determined.

He also called for continued support for Joshua during a difficult phase in his career, urging fans not to turn against fighters during setbacks, but to stand by them as part of the sport.

Usyk acknowledged that Joshua is nearing a full return but stressed the need for patience as he continues recovery.

Meanwhile, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn suggested the former world champion is likely to take at least one more fight before a possible showdown with Fury, adding that his current training setup has been beneficial for his focus and preparation.

Usyk himself is preparing for his own upcoming bout scheduled for May 23 in Egypt, where he will face kickboxing star Rico Verhoeven.
