State Commandant Mrs. Larai Bitrus presided over the event, emphasizing that these promotions come with increased responsibilities and a need for heightened professionalism in service delivery.
Bitrus encouraged the newly promoted officers to embrace their new roles with dedication, reminding them that “to whom much is given, much is expected.” She assured the governor of the NSCDC’s commitment to protecting national assets and collaborating with other security agencies to enhance public safety.
Governor Hyacinth Alia, represented by the Director General of the Bureau for Homeland Security, Mr. Jacob Gbamwua, congratulated the officers and pledged ongoing support for all security agencies in the state. Major Gen. Adams Audu, Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Military Engineering (NASME), also addressed the officers, urging them to demonstrate greater dedication in their duties, as their actions would be closely observed and duly rewarded.
