Initial reports claimed that Priscilla, who had left her family home in Karu following a minor disagreement with her widowed mother, was murdered at her boyfriend’s house.

However, a statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, clarified that a preliminary investigation indicated Priscilla died in a road accident on September 24, 2024. According to Adeh, Priscilla had left her boyfriend’s residence that evening and was involved in a motorcycle accident at the Amala Moore junction in Pyakasa while heading home.

Two laborers, Jerry Amos and Moses Bala, who were working nearby, witnessed the incident. Priscilla was rushed to Pyakasa Health Centre and later referred to the Federal Medical Centre in Jabi, where she was confirmed dead by the attending doctor.

In response to these developments, the Deputy State Chairman has been appointed to lead the party in an acting capacity, though the party has not clarified the duration of the suspensions or if formal disciplinary proceedings will follow.

Concurrently, the Kebbi State Government has suspended the Commissioner for Livestock Development and Fisheries, Kabir Alaramma, effective immediately. The Secretary to the State Government, Yakubu Bala-Tafida, issued the directive, which requires Alaramma to hand over all official documents and government property to the Permanent Secretary of the ministry. No official reason was provided for the commissioner’s suspension.
