Army Denies Allegations of Civilian Detention Over Soldier’s Girlfriend In Minna
Army Denies Allegations of Civilian Detention Over Soldier’s Girlfriend In Minna. The Nigerian Army has refuted claims that two army officers detained a civilian in Minna due to suspicions surrounding his dealings with a soldier’s girlfriend.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
This denial follows a report by an online media outlet (not Daily Post) which alleged that officers of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) conspired to arrest and detain the civilian under the orders of their commander.
Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations at TRADOC, issued a statement characterizing the report as “misinformation.”
The statement clarified the circumstances involving Miss Lynda Moses, a food vendor at TRADOC Officers’ Mess, and Mr. Deekae Sunday Kiaka, a dismissed personnel from the Nigerian Airforce. Lynda had reported to the Military Police (MP) in September 2024, alleging that Kiaka had stolen N1.1 million from her First Bank account.
According to the Army’s statement, Kiaka was arrested on October 6, 2024, after the MP discovered he had been impersonating a serving sergeant while being dismissed from the Airforce for similar fraudulent activities. During interrogation, he admitted to visiting Lynda and using her mobile phone while she attended to customers.
The investigation revealed that Kiaka had requested the matter be resolved within the military framework rather than involving the Nigeria Police Force. He agreed to refund the stolen amount and sought a surety, which led to the involvement of another fiancée, Miss Chiwendu Nnadozie, who acted as his surety.
The Army condemned the allegations as a deliberate attempt to tarnish the reputation of TRADOC and expressed disappointment in the media for not verifying the claims before publication. They emphasized the importance of journalistic ethics and stated that the ongoing investigation would eventually be forwarded to the Nigeria Police Force for potential prosecution.
In concluding the statement, the Army urged all personnel to maintain discipline and uphold their commitment to the command’s objectives in promoting security and development in the nation.

“2027 ULTIMATUM: PETER OBI DROPS SHOCKING BOMBSHELL ON ONLY CONDITION HE WILL ACCEPT DEFEAT!”
During a Thursday interview on Arise News, Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi stated that he will readily accept defeat in the 2027 general elections, provided the process is conducted fairly and credibly, emphasizing that he will always respect the sovereign will of the electorate. At the same time, the former Anambra State Governor maintained that he actually won the 2023 presidential ballot, claiming the results were manipulated and that those responsible are aware of the irregularities that occurred.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Turning to leadership metrics, Obi argued that presidential bids should be evaluated strictly on competence and qualifications rather than tribal or religious sentiments. Highlighting his own preparedness, he pointed to his academic background at prestigious global institutions—including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Columbia, and Kellogg—and challenged anyone to contest the validity of his credentials under threat of stepping down from the race. Furthermore, Obi critiqued the continuous marginalization of younger generations in governance, pointing out that across 66 years of independence, Nigeria has never elected a president born after 1960.

“THE PEOPLE’S WAR CHEST: NDC STUNS CRITICS WITH BOLD STRATEGY TO DRAIN ORDINARY CITIZENS’ POCKETS FOR 2027!”.
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced plans to finance its electoral campaign through contributions from ordinary citizens rather than wealthy elites. According to party national leader and Senator representing Bayelsa West, Seriake Dickson, who spoke during an interview on Arise News, this grassroots funding strategy aims to reduce the political influence of affluent individuals and break the cycle of oppression.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Emphasizing the financial independence of the organization, Dickson noted that the NDC operates as the sole political party in Nigeria that does not draw financial sustenance from the government treasury. To liberate the electorate from systemic oppression, the party intends to follow global crowdfunding practices by encouraging ordinary citizens to make small, voluntary financial contributions ranging from ₦1,000 to ₦2,000. Highlighting the rationale behind this framework, Dickson warned against allowing the nation’s democratic processes to remain under the control of wealthy individuals and billionaires utilizing state resources, asserting that such dependency only perpetuates the subjugation of ordinary people.
In addition to campaign financing matters, Dickson provided updates regarding the party’s internal organization, mentioning that consultations are actively underway concerning the structure of the presidential campaign council, with an official announcement expected soon. He contrasted their meticulous approach with the ruling party’s administrative errors, explicitly stating that the NDC wishes to avoid publishing and subsequently retracting official lists. Furthermore, Dickson called upon the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and other pertinent stakeholders to guarantee transparent, free, and credible elections in the 2027 cycle, affirming that the party plans to take its message directly to the populace while aggressively contesting and defending every single vote.
