The incident occurred on Thursday along Onimamayin Street in the Agbo-Oba Taiwo Oke area. According to the Kwara State Fire Service spokesman, Hassan Adekunle, prompt action from firefighters prevented the total destruction of the building, with only nine shops affected. Sadly, a provision store and multiple industrial sewing machines were lost. Preliminary investigations indicate that a power surge caused the fire.
