This Is Nigeria’s First Coordinated Response To Insecurity, Says Gebi. The Special Adviser to the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, Aliyu Gebi, has said Nigeria is having its first coordinated response to insecurity under President Bola Tinubu.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Aliyu Gebisaid terrorist groups, including Boko Haram and Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP), and bandits have been decimated because of the coordination among the security forces.

Gebi stated this in an interview with Arise TV on Tuesday while analyzing the President’s Independence Day speech.

According to him, Boko Haram has been decimated by 82 percent while ISWAP has been decimated by 75 percent.

“The speech did have some high notes, but I’m no economist, so I’ll stick to what I know, which is security. This is the first time we’re having a very coordinated response to insecurity, where we have mission specifics. And you heard in what the Chief of Defence Staff said, that Turji is now a target.

“This is the first time in the history of Nigeria where we have mission-specific targets painted on specific individuals, and it’s as conscious of that that you are witnessing the fact that quite the top layer of the leadership have been knocked off one after the other.

“And this is largely thanks to the new conductor of the security orchestra. When you have a 250-piece orchestra, there’s always one conductor, and the symphony that will be produced is largely reliant on how well the conductor conducts.

“And the conductor of the security architecture for this melody, of course, is the National Security Advisor to the President, and he must be congratulated. And then, of course, the tip of the spear, the military. And it would also be unfair to talk about the military in only the kinetic component of knocking these guys out,” Gebi said.

The aide to General Musa added that the military also assisted the flood victims in Borno State. Aside from coordination by the Office of the National Security Adviser, Gebi also noted that the military now has the equipment needed for quality service to the nation.

He continued, “We saw what happened in Maiduguri, the unfortunate flooding in Maiduguri. We saw our military come to bat the same way that the militaries of the United States and other countries we look up to would have come. We should congratulate our military, the defence headquarters, and all the armed forces for the response capability as demonstrated.

“And there’s also another part that we should also look at to show that Nigeria is actually evolving. We had amphibious vehicles. So if we talk about procurement, how we have evolved from buying the wrong things to buying the right things, if we had not bought the right equipment, those trucks, those heavy equipment would have been static, and then Nigerians would have continued lambasting the military.

“So congratulations to the Defence Headquarters, and congratulations to, of course, the NSA. In terms of the security terrain, we’re in the consolidation phase. Boko Haram has been degraded by 82%. I’m being specific here, 82%. ISWAP by 75%. None of them has the capability of mounting large scale attacks which they had about two years, two and a half years ago. That is a huge success.”

Gebi explained that what needs to be done is to maintain the success record against insecurity.

“What needs to happen is to ensure that this does not roll back. It should not go back to where it was, or we begin to slide back the scale. Then the Northwest. Of course, we are seeing with the new renewed vigor of the military and the charge led by the defence headquarters where we now have a harmonization of all operations as an active theatre.

‘So we can now see a concerted effort of all efforts get towards specific objectives. So where before you had a smattering of efforts, now you have a consolidation, and it is because of that that we are seeing recording the successes that we are recording,” Gebi added.

In a swift response, Media Information Officer Lt. Col. Sani Uba announced that the Theatre Command has already activated comprehensive defensive countermeasures, deploying heavy troop reinforcements to vulnerable, high-density areas across all sectors.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Security forces have fully mobilized surveillance and ISR assets while executing joint, tight patrol sweeps alongside the Civilian JTF and community vigilance groups. To guarantee total safety, the military is advising citizens to hold their Eid prayers closer to their immediate neighborhoods and avoid massive, unprotected open-air crowds. Residents are being urged to report any unattended objects or suspicious strangers to nearby checkpoints immediately, with a stern warning issued against unnecessary late-night movements or sharing panic-inducing rumors online.

HOLIDAY LOCKDOWN: 5 Critical Directives From Operation Hadin Kai to Stop Eid Terror Plots

  • The Evil Threat: High-level military intelligence exposes plans by Boko Haram and ISWAP remnants to smuggle suicide bombers and IEDs into crowded festive locations.

  • Troops Deployed: In an immediate counter-move, massive military forces have been forward-deployed to secure markets, prayer grounds, and motor parks across the North-East.

  • Pray Close to Home: The military is officially advising families to conduct their Eid prayers and holiday activities within their immediate, familiar communities.

  • Avoid Large Crowds: Citizens are strongly urged to stay alert in public hubs like banking halls and transport bays, avoiding massive unmonitored open gatherings wherever possible.

Defeating the Festive Threat: Inside Operation Hadin Kai’s Proactive Security Blanket for Eid-el-Kabir

As the North-East prepares for the Eid-el-Kabir festivities, the Joint Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai, has shifted to a maximum-security footing to neutralize adaptive asymmetric threats from Boko Haram and ISWAP. An official briefing by Lt. Col. Sani Uba indicated that while the insurgent factions have been severely degraded, intelligence confirms they are actively looking to exploit high-density civilian targets using improvised explosive devices (IEDs) to create holiday disruptions.

The military’s preemptive strategy combines high-tech Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) assets with grassroots security collaboration involving the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local rulers. By urging citizens to localized prayer centers and encouraging a culture of immediate civic reporting, the command is building a resilient, double-layered security ring. This proactive stance demonstrates that the military is no longer just responding to insurgent activity, but actively dominating the security landscape to ensure the region celebrates in peace and dignity.
