Be Patient With Tinubu Amid Challenges, Osun APC Chieftain Tells Nigerians
Be Patient With Tinubu Amid Challenges, Osun APC Chieftain Tells Nigerians....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has urged Nigerians to give President Bola Tinubu more time to address the country’s economic challenges.
In a statement made available to journalists on Sunday, in Osogbo, the state capital, Oyintiloye said with a little patience, all the challenges Nigerians are facing would be things of the past.
Oyintiloye, who acknowledged that Nigerians are going through a tough time, said the president is not sleeping over it but working day and night to fix the economy.
The AP chieftain also appealed to Nigerians to remember that the president did not create the economic crisis the country is going through but rather was an inherited, aged-long economic crisis.
He, however, said that all the economic policies that the president is putting in place might look tough but were put in place to put the country on the path of economic prosperity.
Oyintiloye said that Tinubu assumed office when the economy was nosediving, which required systemic reforms and understanding of Nigerians.
He said that while the president is gradually fixing the economy, he needs the patience, prayers, and support of all Nigerians to get things done.
Oyintiloye, who noted that the president’s economic policies had started to show results, said that though they were minimal, the future might be less challenging.
He said that with the president’s focus on economic reforms and diversification, he was championing policies aimed at revitalising other sectors of the economy, particularly agriculture, manufacturing, technology, marine, and blue economy.
Oyintiloye said that Tinubu had launched the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan, which would help stimulate economic growth through targeted investments and reforms.
“Several initiatives are being implemented to improve the business environment, attract foreign direct investment, and support small and medium-sized enterprises.
“With a little patience, things will be well again, and Nigeria will rise again,” he said.
