The Directorate expressed satisfaction with the IGP’s response, viewing it as a step toward ensuring a peaceful and credible election.

In addition to the ban on the ESN, the APC also commended the deployment of 35,000 police officers across Edo State to maintain law and order during the election. The APC emphasized that the IGP’s actions send a clear message about the importance of upholding democracy and preventing the use of state-backed security outfits to manipulate electoral outcomes. The Directorate stated that the people of Edo now have the confidence to participate in the elections, knowing that their safety is being prioritized by the police.

The party concluded by reiterating its confidence in the IGP’s leadership and expressing hope for a free and fair election in the state.
