Visionary Leadership: A Call for Change in Edo State....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The People’s Redemption Party candidate for the Edo State Governorship, Ms. Patience Ndidi, has called on Edo residents to prioritize visionary leadership over emotional considerations for significant transformation in the state. As the sole female candidate in the upcoming September 21 governorship election, Ndidi emphasized that effective leadership goes beyond gender.
During a recent news conference in Abuja, Ndidi urged voters to look past vote-buying incentives, gender, and party affiliations to ensure a brighter future for all in Edo. “Edo needs visionary leaders to tackle critical issues like unemployment, poverty, hunger, and the state of essential infrastructure such as roads, schools, and health facilities,” she stated.
This election is crucial for the future of Edo, according to Ndidi, who encouraged voters to remain open-minded and make informed choices. Identifying herself as the sole “David” in the race, she expressed her determination to win and bring transformation, hope, progress, and prosperity through human capital development.
“A visionary leader sees from wherever he or she is from or is residing,” Ndidi remarked. “A visionary leader feels the pulses of the people and understands their pain points. That is where I, Patience Ofure Ndidi, come in because I see the vision. I know commitment. I understand compassion.”
She emphasized the importance of avoiding past mistakes in leadership choices, stating, “Leadership is meant for visionaries who understand commitment and compassion. It is given to those who can be transparent, accountable, and trustworthy.”
Highlighting the role of women in leadership, Ndidi appealed to both women and men to support her vision. “They say women don’t encourage women. But I tell them that’s not true. Women understand women and vote for women,” she asserted. “Women possess strong managerial skills and the ability to multitask, enabling them to achieve great things.”
Ndidi urged the people of Edo to view the election as an opportunity for unity and collaboration to enhance the state’s greatness. She stressed the need to harness the state’s talents and resources to develop manufacturing industries, create wealth, and boost revenue.
The PRP governorship candidate pledged to tackle pressing issues such as insecurity, unemployment, and hunger by empowering citizens. She believes that creating jobs and fostering a supportive investment climate are vital steps in resolving insecurity.

“FIFA’s Radical 2030 Vision: Massive 64-Team World Cup Expansion On The Table!”.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino has revealed that the governing body is exploring the possibility of expanding the 2030 World Cup to include 64 teams. This potential shift follows the recent expansion from 32 to 48 teams for the 2026 tournament, which increased the match count to 104. Infantino advocates for this change to provide smaller footballing nations with greater opportunities to qualify, arguing that increased representation motivates countries to invest in their local leagues, academies, and national programs. While the proposal remains subject to approval by FIFA’s decision-making bodies, it aims to narrow the competitive gap between traditional powerhouses and emerging teams. The 2030 event, which commemorates the tournament’s centenary, is already unique for being hosted by six countries across three continents: Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Morocco, Portugal, and Spain.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
FIFA is considering a massive shake-up for the 2030 World Cup, with President Gianni Infantino hinting at a potential expansion to 64 teams. Building on the success of the 48-team format introduced for 2026, Infantino believes that giving more countries a seat at the table is essential for the global development of the sport. He noted that under the current expanded format, teams from all continents have proven their competitiveness, suggesting that the divide between established nations and newcomers is shrinking. If approved, this 64-team structure would be implemented for a historic tournament already set to span three continents and six host nations to celebrate the competition’s 100th anniversary. FIFA is currently evaluating the logistical and financial implications of such an expansion before making a final decision.
