According to the petitioner, he purchased a terrace duplex on the land in 2018 after receiving assurances from Ezechukwu that the title was unencumbered, only to later discover existing litigation, a court injunction, and the alleged unauthorized use of his name in court processes, alongside a backdated and altered agreement.
During the proceedings, defense counsel D.O. Okolo urged the panel to dismiss the case, citing a letter from the petitioner expressing a desire to withdraw the matter. However, the committee rejected the request, ruling that its regulations do not allow for a withdrawal once issues have been joined, and subsequently reserved its decision for September 30.
