14 Dead, 4 Critically Injured In Jigawa Car CrashA tragic car accident on the Kanya highway in Jigawa State has resulted in the deaths of 14 people, with four others sustaining critical injuries.

“The impact claimed the lives of 14 passengers, while four others sustained serious injuries and are receiving treatment in a hospital,” a source explained.

The Jigawa State Police Command quickly responded to the scene, transporting the victims to Kanya Babba Cottage Hospital. Medical personnel at the hospital confirmed the deaths and stated that the injured are currently receiving medical care.

DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the Public Relations Officer for the command, announced that an investigation into the incident is underway, focusing on the suspected reckless driving of the Toyota Hiace driver. He also mentioned that the identities of the deceased are being withheld until their families are notified.
