The ever-dedicated Akpata, for the umpteenth time since the official campaign kickoff, has journeyed to the northern part of the state with his experienced team to share his compelling message with Edolites residing in Owan East Local Government Area.
During this campaign tour aimed at spreading the gospel of the Labour Party and the prosperity that supporting the party in the upcoming Edo Election promises, Akpata and his team successfully engaged with community leaders, traditional rulers, and residents from all walks of life, regardless of religion, culture, and political ideology.
What was particularly exciting about this campaign tour was the heartwarming reception from the people of Owan, who welcomed their incoming Governor, Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata, with open arms.
Akpata kickstarted the tour of the LGA by seeking royal blessings, which he received from King Omaivboje Esechie of Uokha Palace. At the palace, he made a bold declaration that has captured the attention of many Edolites. In his words, he said: “We stand well, we stand strong, and we are ready to deliver for Edo State. That’s why I said we should come to you; I am so grateful for your prayers.”
After successfully securing royal blessings and guidance, he engaged extensively with members of the Uokha Okada Association at the Labour Party Ward 5.
“Dem de tell deaf and dumb say market don close? Na eyes them take dey see am. The prayer of every papa and mama na say make e pikin better pass am one way for pikin to better na Education, if the school nor good, where the children they go?”
Throughout his extensive tour of the region, Akpata ensured he paid courtesy visits to all traditional rulers, as he remains a man of culture. He subsequently engaged with Edolites from dawn till dusk, sharing his vision on education, infrastructure, agriculture, and security. He also revealed the disadvantages of voting for the two parties that have led Edo State and beyond backward for twenty-five years.
