From Pitch To Court: Football Star Demands ₦1 Billion In Pastor Affair LawsuitKayode Olanrewaju, a prominent Nigerian football star, has initiated legal action against controversial UK-based Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, seeking damages totaling ₦1 billion for emotional distress, financial losses, and reputational damage allegedly caused by his wife’s adulterous affair with the pastor. Olanrewaju also petitioned the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja for an official divorce from his wife, Dora Ezinne Kayode.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a cross-petition marked Suit Number PET/304/2024, Olanrewaju detailed numerous allegations of infidelity, financial impropriety, and a breakdown of their marital relationship. He asserted that Ezinne had engaged in extramarital relationships, including an ongoing affair with Pastor Adegboyega, which allegedly led to public appearances together and shared intimate moments.

Among the accusations, Olanrewaju claimed that Ezinne misappropriated funds and rental income from properties he had purchased, purportedly to support her lavish lifestyle and alleged relationship with Pastor Adegboyega. He also alleged collusion between Ezinne and her former lover, Ugochukwu Igboanugo, in the misappropriation of property documents.

The footballer further accused Ezinne of alcohol abuse and late-night partying, factors he cited as contributing to the deterioration of their marriage and undermining their joint business ventures.

Olanrewaju’s lawsuit also highlighted the emotional and financial toll he has endured, including the abrupt termination of his international football contract, which he attributes to the marital crisis. Seeking compensation and dissolution of the marriage, Olanrewaju emphasized his desire for custody of their children, citing concerns over Ezinne’s suitability as a role model.

The case is scheduled for hearing on September 24, 2024.
