In a statement released to the media, the APC chieftain claimed that the protest was a tactic used by “sore losers” to create mayhem in strategic locations, including Hotel Presidential.

Eze described the incident as an attempt to wage war against the state, allowing disgruntled politicians to resort to armed conflict to impose their will on the state and its people. He expressed concern that investigations into the explosion might be compromised due to undue interference, with reports suggesting that the Force Headquarters is under pressure to transfer the prime suspect to Abuja.
