Rivers State Ethnic Youth Leaders Coalition Slams Pro-Wike Lawmakers For Alleged Deception

Yamaabana asserted that according to Section 109(g) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the lawmakers have forfeited their seats and legitimacy by defecting from the PDP to the APC.
The statement highlighted the Attorney General of Rivers State’s rebuttal, indicating that the lawsuit purportedly securing their continued membership in the PDP was dismissed for lack of standing and jurisdiction, as well as for being an abuse of the court process.
Describing the lawmakers’ conduct as disgraceful and dishonest, the RSEYLC emphasized the importance of integrity and good governance in leadership. They called upon all stakeholders who uphold truth and justice to condemn the actions of these politicians unequivocally.
The coalition reiterated the commitment of Rivers Youths to stand against political deceit and corruption, advocating for the integrity and development of the state. They emphasized the need for leaders dedicated to serving constituents rather than pursuing self-serving interests.
