Governor Mourns The Loss Of Ex-NIMASA Boss, Ferdinand AguGovernor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Ferdinand Agu, former Director-General of the National Maritime Authority (NMA), now known as the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), describing it as a significant loss to the state and the nation.

Mbah lamented, “I received with deep grief the sudden death of my brother, Ferdinand Agu, MFR, a development I have been struggling to come to terms with. Agu was an illustrious son of Enugu State, a fine gentleman, brilliant mind, savvy administrator, political engineer, consummate technocrat, and a quiet achiever, who gave his best in service to Nigeria.”

Agu, who served as the Director-General of the now-defunct National Maritime Authority and as a former Senior Special Assistant to the President from 2011 to 2015, made significant contributions to the nation’s and the state’s development, according to Governor Mbah.

Expressing heartfelt condolences to Agu’s immediate family, the people of Enugu State, and his friends and associates nationwide, Governor Mbah prayed for Agu’s eternal rest.

“May God grant him eternal repose,” the Governor concluded, mourning the loss of a distinguished public servant and leader.
