Fakorede Adesanya, Okoya Babatunde, and Musiliu Oladeinde, who served as special assistants between 2015 and 2019, mentioned that Governor Abiodun had acknowledged their entitlements during a meeting before the 2023 elections and promised to pay their severance allowance.

“This acknowledgment indicates that we are entitled to and deserve the allowance,” they stated. “The governor has denied us this legitimate entitlement for five years, causing us psychological trauma. Over time, the value of the gratuity has depreciated considerably.”

They further explained the financial difficulties faced by many of their colleagues who had resigned from their jobs to serve Ogun State. Unable to return to their previous employment, many find themselves and their families in financial distress.

We humbly appeal to Your Excellency to kindly offset the severance to encourage sacrificial service to the good people of Ogun State by public office holders.”
