Delta Police Apprehend Six Alleged Robbers, Seize Cache Of Weapons

The Command’s Special Squad, led by ASP Julius Robinson, executed a decisive operation in Sapele, resulting in the arrest of Blessing Atima (23), Destiny Okpako (19), and Wisdom Akpohiro (20), identified as key members of the criminal gang. Alongside the arrests, law enforcement officers recovered a cache of weapons, including firearms and cutlasses, along with personal belongings belonging to victims of the robberies.
In another operation, RRS Operatives acted swiftly on credible information, leading to the apprehension of Usman Bello (40) in an uncompleted building along Issele-Asagba Express Way. Bello, who allegedly posed as a mentally unstable person, was found in possession of a locally made fabricated Beretta Pistol.
Additionally, the vigilance of the Area Commander, Asaba, proved instrumental in thwarting the nocturnal activities of suspected criminals who targeted shops in the area. Through discreet surveillance and undercover operations, law enforcement agents arrested Ameachi Micheal (42) and Ogochukwu Ogbode (38), preventing further acts of theft and vandalism.
The statement reiterated that the apprehended suspects are currently in custody, with investigations ongoing to unravel the full extent of their criminal activities. The Delta State Police Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of residents, pledging to relentlessly pursue and apprehend individuals involved in criminality across the state.
