Monisola Odumosu, head of the Aloba legal team, stated in a Tuesday release that the petition raised concerns about cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and criminal defamation.

Odumosu explained, “Mr. Aloba was invited by the police and accompanied to the station by his legal representatives, Teri Wellington and Monisola Odumosu. The petition was filed by Oba Saheed Elegushi, alleging criminal defamation during one of Mr. Aloba’s recent interviews.”

The statement continued, “In the interview with a London-based blogger, it was alleged that Mr. Aloba said, ‘… his son was bullied and killed on the instruction of Oba Elegushi and that it was one Sam Larry that was sent to do the job…”

Aloba clarified that he did not intend to defame or engage in cyberbullying or cyberstalking against Oba Elegushi. He emphasized his pursuit of justice for his late son.

Odumosu further explained that Aloba lacked evidence to support the allegation against the monarch, except for a petition written by his late son and other phone conversations.

While noting Oba Elegushi’s presence at the meeting and his demand for a retraction, Odumosu clarified that Aloba was neither arrested nor detained.

“Oba Elegushi requested the retraction of defamatory statements made by Mr. Aloba on social media. Mr. Aloba was released on bail without difficulty. It’s crucial to recognize Mr. Aloba’s grief over the loss of his son. He’s mourning a significant loss in the family.”

Mohbad passed away at 27 on September 12, 2023, with his death sparking controversies on social media.

“YOU ARE POWERLESS OUTSIDE POWER!” Aisha Yesufu Fires Heavy Warning At Panicking Nyesom Wike!.

Published

Aisha Yesufu, a chieftain of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), has launched a scathing attack on FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, accusing him of being “petrified of life outside governance” and suggesting his political relevance is vastly overstated.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Yesufu’s comments were a direct rebuke to Wike’s recent claims regarding the 2023 presidential election. Wike had stated that the G5 governors strategically allowed Labour Party candidate Peter Obi to win several South-South states to undermine the PDP’s Atiku Abubakar, while simultaneously ensuring Obi did not win in Rivers State.

Responding to this narrative on X (formerly Twitter), Yesufu tore into Wike’s assertions, citing the electoral failure of three G5 members who vied for senatorial seats.

“Wike LIED!!!!! 3 of the G5 Governors ran for Senate. They all lost!” she wrote.

Yesufu challenged Wike’s claims of political omnipotence, arguing, “If Wike was that powerful, how come he couldn’t give them a win in an election that was on the same day and time!”

The fiery activist concluded by dismissing Wike’s inflated sense of influence and accusing him of desperately clinging to the relevance that government office provides.

The club’s revenue saw a 1.7 percent boost, largely propelled by a nearly 20 percent increase in broadcasting income following a third-place finish in the Premier League during the 2025/26 season. However, both commercial and matchday revenues dropped by nearly 5 percent due to playing without European football.

Key highlights from the financial report include:

Despite the positive financial outlook and a return to Champions League football under manager Michael Carrick, the team has faced a rocky start to the new Premier League campaign, picking up five points from their first five matches and exiting the English League Cup.
