Expressing gratitude to Governor Fintri for his performance, Obasanjo emphasized the importance of urban renewal and urged the governor to extend infrastructural development to rural areas to boost food production, create jobs, and enhance security.

Recalling his prison days in Yola, Obasanjo recounted an incident involving the late Lamido, who wanted to gift him an air conditioner. However, Obasanjo declined, citing concerns that the prison authorities might remove it, opting to continue using a fan in his prison room instead.

Governor Fintri, in his address, acknowledged the skeptics’ doubts about the project’s feasibility but celebrated its successful completion within record time.
