Operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Safe School Initiative under the Anambra State Police Command have arrested a man identified as Eric Nwombu over alleged impersonation and illegal possession of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination materials.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to a statement issued in Awka by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, officers recovered eight JAMB examination slips from the suspect, along with an exercise book containing the names and examination numbers of several candidates. He was also unable to properly explain how he obtained the documents.

The suspect was reportedly arrested following a tip-off from a cyber café in Atani, where he had been collecting 2026 JAMB examination slips on behalf of students who came to check their examination centres.

He was said to have falsely presented himself as a JAMB 2026 coordinator in Atani. However, staff at the cyber café grew suspicious of his activities and alerted the police. On the arrival of operatives, he attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended.

In an interview with TVC, Joshua said his concern is that consistently excelling in such roles could lead filmmakers to repeatedly cast him in similar characters, something he is trying to avoid as he builds his acting profile.

The case came up on Thursday, where the prosecution informed the court that the initial three-count charge had been revised and expanded to five counts. Following the development, the court struck out the earlier charge and substituted it with the amended one.

The matter is being presided over by Justice Joyce Abdulmalik at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Meanwhile, a fellow at the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, Prof. Udenta Udenta, has criticised El-Rufai’s continued legal troubles, describing his detention as unjust.
