According to Punch, the woman’s body was discovered with her upper garment removed.
Naija News reports that the discovery was made early Tuesday, and her identity remains unknown.
A local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, mentioned that there were no visible signs of blood or trauma on the body.
The source stated, “It happened on Tuesday morning. The woman was killed and left in the bush along Amaraku-Umudim Road. She was pregnant and had her upper clothing removed.
“But the confusing thing is that there were no blood stains or signs of violence to suggest an attack. We are still trying to understand the cause of her death.”
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, said he had not yet been briefed on the matter but promised to provide updates once the command received more information. No further details were available at the time of this report.
