Following the lawsuit, the APC executives in Igbotako Ward II, Okitipupa local government area, suspended Ibrahim from the party on allegations of anti-party activities and insubordination. However, during a Senate briefing on Tuesday, Ibrahim revealed that he withdrew the suit due to the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Ibrahim stated that President Tinubu assured him of enhancing internal democracy within the party, influencing his decision to retract the case. Governor Aiyedatiwa’s visit to Ibrahim also played a role in his decision.
In a statement titled “Presidential intervention and notice of withdrawal suit No.FHC /ABJ/ CS/588/2024,” Ibrahim explained, “The suit is now withdrawn due to the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. The President called me, had a meeting with me, and assured me that he will improve on internal democracy within our party, and I will need to withdraw the case to enable him to chart a way forward.”
He added, “The Governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, earlier visited my Asokoro residence for several hours after another unsuccessful visit to my hotel room in Akure. I cannot disobey the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria because the issue I am fighting for is not personal. It is simply to improve internal democracy, to which the President has promised improvement. My respect for the President is absolute!”
Ibrahim expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his guidance and encouragement, describing the withdrawal of the lawsuit as his gift to mark the first anniversary of Tinubu’s presidency. He concluded, “The withdrawal of this legendary suit coincides with the first anniversary of Mr. President’s incredible performance in office, and this is my gift of the ‘cake’ of the first anniversary!”

THE ULTIMATE SHOCKER: Former Minister Shatters The Infamous Myth Surrounding Sani Abacha’s Death!.
Former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Dan Etete, has strongly refuted claims made in a new memoir suggesting former Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, died during a sexual encounter. In a statement titled “Twenty-Eight Years On, Still No Evidence,” Etete dismissed the account from retired SSS officer Dennis Amachree as “unverified, unsupported, and unconvincing.”....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Amachree had alleged in his book DSS @40 that Abacha suffered fatal cardiac arrest while with a woman in the Presidential Villa in 1998. Challenging the memoir’s timeline, Etete questioned why such a significant event lacks supporting documentation, including post-mortem results, the identity of the alleged woman, or investigative records. He argued that historical accounts of a Head of State’s death should not rely solely on decades-old memories.
Etete’s rejection follows a similar denial from Hamza Al-Mustapha, Abacha’s former Chief Security Officer, who claims to possess CCTV footage proving the account is false. The official cause of death remains sudden illness.
