Aminu Gwarzo, the Deputy Governor of Kano State, has extended an apology to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, for implicating him in the ongoing emirship dispute in the state……..CONTINUE READING
Gwarzo had previously alleged Ribadu’s involvement in facilitating the return of the deposed Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, to the state through the provision of private jets. However, Ribadu refuted these claims and threatened legal action.
During a press conference at the Government House in Kano, Gwarzo clarified the misunderstanding, expressing regret for the misinformation regarding Ribadu’s role in the crisis.
He stated, “The Office of the National Security Adviser has refuted the allegations and distanced themselves from what we have alleged. We have to acknowledge that we have been misled into believing that the NSA was behind the happenings along this line.”
Gwarzo acknowledged the error and conveyed apologies to Ribadu, acknowledging any inconvenience caused by the allegations. He assured Ribadu of continued support and cooperation from the government in his role as the NSA.
The apology serves to rectify the misunderstanding and reaffirm the commitment to cooperation and mutual respect between the Kano State government and the Office of the National Security Adviser.
