The DAILY POST correspondent reports that the military personnel are providing security backup after Governor Yusuf directed security agencies to urgently arrest and detain the dethroned Emir. The governor’s directive came after Bayero allegedly violated orders to vacate his position and leave the state within the past 48 hours.

The entrance to the Nasarawa Emir’s Rest House is now filled with combined security operatives, which has significantly heightened tension in the state.

This escalation is part of the ongoing power struggle in Kano, involving former governor Abdullahi Ganduje and current state authorities. Governor Yusuf’s directive and the military’s involvement indicate the serious nature of the political and traditional conflict in the region.

‘I Am APC, But Will Not Stop My People’ – Na’Allah.

Former Deputy Senate Majority Leader Senator Bala Na’Allah has clarified that while he remains a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he will ultimately back the political direction chosen by his constituents in the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking during an appearance on Arise TV’s Prime Time, the former lawmaker addressed his political stance following his withdrawal from the APC senatorial primary in May, which he had exited after alleging that the process was predetermined.

Emphasizing his democratic principles, Na’Allah stated that true representation requires honoring the will of the people rather than imposing political choices on them.

“Let me be very honest with you. I’m APC. If for whatever reason my people believe that APC is not the party they want to do, my qualification in politics has not taken me to a position where I will ask people to do what they don’t want to do,” he said.

The former senator noted that as a democrat, he respects that the collective decision of the electorate should guide political actions, highlighting that true leadership involves aligning with the aspirations of the community one represents.

‘You Can’t Campaign And Count Votes! ADC Fires Red Alert Over 600 Lecturers Endorsing Tinubu For 2027’.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to implement stricter selection criteria for academics assigned as Returning and Collation Officers ahead of the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

This demand follows reports that more than 600 senior academics from public universities across Northern Nigeria publicly endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid. In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC expressed strong concerns regarding potential conflicts of interest, noting that university staff are frequently deployed by INEC to handle critical electoral tasks.

While conceding that lecturers possess the constitutional right to support political figures of their choice, the party maintained that individuals who openly take political sides should be barred from managing sensitive processes involving those same candidates.

“No person who has openly taken a partisan position should subsequently be entrusted with determining the outcome of an election involving that candidate,” the party noted, adding, “You cannot campaign for a candidate and then be entrusted with counting the votes and declaring winners in the same election that your candidate is contesting in.”

Key Demands to INEC

To safeguard the credibility of the upcoming polls, the ADC outlined two major requests for the electoral commission:

  • Establish Clear Guidelines: Formulate and publish explicit rules disqualifying any prospective election officials who have publicly endorsed candidates or engaged in partisan activities.

  • Early Public Disclosure: Release the names of proposed Returning and Collation Officers well ahead of time to grant political parties and citizens adequate opportunity to flag potential conflicts of interest.

The party emphasized that the integrity of an election relies heavily on the transparency and neutrality of the administrators entrusted with managing and declaring its results.

The commission drew special attention to high-risk traps circulating online, warning citizens to ignore unsolicited emails, WhatsApp chats, phone calls, or social media promotions promising preferential shares or guaranteed allocations.

Furthermore, the SEC reminded investors that the mere presence of a website, account, or digital presence does not equate to regulatory backing.
