“You Have To Belong To A Gang”: CDQ Exposes Dark Side Of The Music Industry.
Nigerian rapper Sodiq Yusuf, popularly known as CDQ, recently stated that success in the music industry is often contingent upon joining a specific caucus, gang, or cult to receive support. Speaking during an interview on Jbrandy Entertainment, the “Secure The Bag” artist noted that independent musicians lacking these affiliations frequently face significant financial losses without achieving success.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
“The hardest truth about the music industry is that it has turned into a place where you have to belong to a particular caucus, gang, or cult before anyone can help you,” CDQ explained. He added that those who manage to thrive independently without such connections are fortunate, noting, “If you don’t belong to any group or gang, you might end up spending a lot without seeing any return”.
CDQ, who gained widespread fame with his 2015 hit “Nowo E Soke” featuring Wizkid, is recognized as a key indigenous rapper in Nigeria, famous for his signature “Woss Wobi” ad-libs. Onuachu expressed his belief in the team’s current form and depth. “We have the quality to play against any team in the world and hopefully we are going to show it against Poland and Portugal,” he told the Super Eagles media. While acknowledging the disappointment of missing the World Cup despite their world-class talent, he remains focused on the task ahead.
In squad news, FC Basel winger Philip Otele has joined the team in Warsaw, bringing the roster to 21 players. Otele, who was instrumental in the recent Unity Cup victory over Jamaica, is expected to begin the match on the bench due to his late arrival.
Captain Wilfred Ndidi emphasized that while the coaching staff is focused on long-term development, maintaining the team’s current unbeaten streak—four wins and a draw in their last five games—remains vital. “Of course, it’s about winning, but development also counts. A match against such a top rival as Poland will be a good test for our vision for the future,” Ndidi remarked, as quoted by przegladsportowy.onet.
The match at the PGE Narodowy Stadium is set to kick off at 7:45 p.m. Nigerian time.
