In a statement released by his chief press secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara expressed that the reinstatement by the Kano State Government signifies a recognition that Sanusi’s dethronement on March 9, 2020, did not align with the desires and aspirations of the people of Kano.
The governor noted that this decision was made while Sanusi II was visiting Rivers State, further highlighting the significance of his return to the throne.
Governor Fubara urged the citizens to offer their maximum support to the Sarki of Kano to ensure his success in leading the ancient city. Additionally, he called upon Emir Muhammad Sanusi II to lead the over 50 million adherents of the Tijanniyah Sufi order in Nigeria with love, wisdom, and courage, while advocating for lasting peace, justice, equity, and fairness in Kano.
Finally, Governor Fubara extended his well wishes to the 14th Emir of Kano, hoping for a reign marked by progress, prosperity, and positive change for the people of the state.
