Chijioke’s criticism comes in response to recent statements by Senator Kalu cautioning against the creation of factions within the Abia APC. Kalu asserted that there are no factions within the party in Abia and emphasized that only meetings chaired by the state party chairman should be recognized.
The former lawmaker, in a direct message to Kalu on Tuesday, accused him and Ogah of actively contributing to the downfall of the party during the lead-up to the 2023 elections in Abia State.
In his statement, Chijioke expressed surprise at Kalu’s apparent lack of awareness regarding the state party chairman, stating that Kalu had played a role in undermining the party’s integrity during the 2023 elections. He highlighted instances where Kalu and Ogah allegedly conspired against the party’s interests, including taking legal action against sitting members.
Chijioke concluded his statement by suggesting that Kalu, despite his stature, lacked protégés and urged him to seek repentance if he had indeed changed his ways.
The accusations levelled by Chijioke underscore the deep-rooted divisions within the Abia APC and highlight the challenges facing the party as it navigates internal conflicts.
