Speaking at the APC stakeholders’ meeting for the North-West zone in Kaduna on Sunday, Tajudeen emphasized the necessity of actively engaging with dissatisfied APC members to foster party unity.

Highlighting the discontent among certain factions within the APC, Tajudeen stressed the importance of resolving internal conflicts and bringing disaffected members back into the party fold.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, Tajudeen stated, “I urge the National Chairman and our party leadership to prioritize peaceful coexistence among all members. Our party faces numerous challenges in various states and local governments.”

“It’s imperative to draw a line,” Tajudeen continued. “Elections are behind us; now is the time for governance. We must set aside past grievances, extend forgiveness, and work towards unity.”

Tajudeen further proposed the immediate formation of reconciliation committees at both zonal and state levels to facilitate peace-building efforts and reconcile with estranged members.

Additionally, Tajudeen called on Ganduje to leverage his position to address the high turnover rate of National Assembly members, advocating for the retention of well-performing APC members in the upcoming 2027 elections.

Expressing concern over the North-West’s diminished prominence following the 2023 elections, Tajudeen urged a selective approach to re-election, emphasizing the importance of competence and experience within the National Assembly.

“Institutions like the National Assembly thrive on experience,” Tajudeen remarked. “We must ensure that only the most deserving candidates are re-elected. Let’s prioritize competence and allow capable individuals to continue serving in the National Assembly.”
