Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari shared the news during a press conference on Friday, stating that the bodies were discovered overnight. According to Hagari, the three hostages were killed by Hamas while attempting to flee the Nova music festival, an outdoor dance event near the Gaza border, where militants had killed hundreds of attendees.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the deaths as “heartbreaking” and reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to retrieving all hostages, both living and deceased. “We will return all of our hostages, both the living and the dead,” Netanyahu stated.

Israeli operations continue in Gaza’s southern city of Rafah, where intelligence suggests hostages are being held. Israel reports that approximately 100 hostages remain captive in Gaza, along with the bodies of about 30 others. The ongoing conflict has resulted in the deaths of over 35,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza health officials.

Netanyahu has vowed to eliminate Hamas and secure the return of all hostages, though progress has been slow. He faces increasing pressure to resign and the U.S. has indicated it may reduce its support due to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
