According to Naija News, the actress opened up about the experience during an interview with VJ Adams. Dada explained that she originally met the man as a Christian, but their dynamic changed when Ramadan began and he revealed he was fasting to make his mother happy.

The situation made her realize that the relationship could not work because she envisions marrying a practicing Christian and raising her children in the Christian faith. Although her partner tried to persuade her to stay by offering to attend church with her, Dada maintained that it was a dealbreaker since he also wanted their future children to visit the mosque and learn about Islam.

Detailing the incident, Dada said: “I dated someone who when I met was a Christian and then sometime later Ramadan started and he said he was fasting. I said why and he said because that is what will make his mom happy. Being a Muslim is what will make his mom happy. There and then I knew I couldn’t be with him. I have nothing against Muslims; I have Muslim friends who are amazing people, by the way. But for the kind of family that I want to raise, I would love to raise my children the Christian way. I want to be able to hold hands with my husband in one faith, in unity as a family”.

Dr. Kamil Shoretire, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, revealed this development in Abuja during a capacity-building workshop held for labor correspondents. The current national minimum wage of ₦70,000 was enacted by the Federal Government in 2024 following extensive tripartite negotiations. However, persistent economic inflation and skyrocketing costs for basic necessities such as food and transportation have driven labor groups to continuously push for an upward review, with ongoing demands for a new minimum wage baseline of ₦500,000.
