Troops Neutralize Notorious Bandit Leader and Associates In Kaduna
In a significant victory against banditry, troops of Operation Whirl Punch in Kaduna State have neutralized four bandits, including a notorious leader, during fighting patrols in Giwa LGA. Acting on credible intelligence, the troops engaged fleeing bandits in a hot pursuit, resulting in the neutralization of two bandits. Subsequently, another operation in Basurfe village led to the neutralization of two more bandits after a vigorous pursuit and dislodgement of their camp.
The recovered items include firearms, ammunition, explosives, radios, motorcycles, and various personal effects. Notably, one of the bandits eliminated was Dogo Bangaje, a notorious leader, along with a close associate.
Governor Uba Sani commended the troops for their efforts and urged them to sustain the momentum in flushing out criminal elements. He also advised residents to report any suspicious activities to the Kaduna State Security Operations Room, emphasizing the collective responsibility in maintaining security in the area.
