Speaking during a briefing with journalists at the Thanksgiving Service marking the conclusion of the 2024 second session of the 12th Synod in Abuja, themed “By This Time Tomorrow: Breaking the Siege upon the Nation,” the Primate highlighted the ongoing siege facing Nigeria, emphasizing the need for divine intervention.
Acknowledging the formidable obstacles, including wickedness, corruption, and nepotism, Ndukuba stressed that overcoming these challenges requires divine intervention, urging Nigerians to seek repentance and turn back to God.
He called for a collective return to God, emphasizing the importance of genuine repentance and adherence to the principles of faith as key to overcoming the nation’s challenges.
In alignment with Ndukuba’s message, Retired Rev Johnson Atere underscored the significance of returning to God and having faith in His word as the solution to Nigeria’s challenges. He attributed the nation’s predicament to the failure of leadership to heed divine guidance.
Despite the trials facing Nigeria, both religious leaders echoed the belief that the nation’s redemption lies in adhering to God’s word and seeking His intervention for deliverance.
As Nigeria navigates through its difficulties, the words of hope and faith from these religious leaders serve as guiding beacons, encouraging individuals to trust in divine providence and strive for a collective return to righteousness.
