In a statement delivered by the Convener of SMV, Frank Kilsi, the group commended Tinubu for his efforts to promote peace and prosperity in Nigeria through his “renewed hope agenda.” However, they expressed dismay over the actions of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, whom they accused of initiating a “total war” against Rivers State.

Kilsi urged President Tinubu to use his influential position to caution Wike and his supporters, emphasizing the need to prevent further escalation of the conflict. As tensions continue to mount, the call for swift and decisive action from national leaders underscores the gravity of the situation and the imperative of restoring stability in Rivers State.
