Simi Responds To Brymo And Samklef’s Online Drama
Renowned singer Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has addressed the recent controversial comments made by her colleagues Brymo and producer-turned-blogger Samklef.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Last year, Brymo stirred controversy by admitting to making advances towards Simi for a collaboration, revealing that he requested intimacy, which Simi declined. Similarly, Samklef confessed to harboring feelings for Simi in their early careers but refrained from pursuing her romantically.
In a recent interview with Angela Yee, Simi dismissed the remarks made by Brymo and Samklef, expressing confusion over their motives and the relevance of their statements. She emphasized that their comments lacked substance and couldn’t be taken seriously.
Simi stated, “I don’t know what these people [Brymo and Samklef] are going on about. The funny thing is that these are two different people and I don’t know why they keep talking about me like that. When you even look at what they’re saying, you can’t even pick out anything. I’m still confused.”
Asserting her stance, Simi conveyed that she remains unfazed by the drama and finds it more amusing than concerning. She highlighted the support of her husband, who defends her, and reiterated that she has nothing to hide.
Simi concluded, “I don’t have anything to hide. If you’re going to post that you asked me out and so what? Or that I had an ex [laughs]. The whole thing to me is more comedy than anything else.”

‘I Abandoned School To Save My Father’s Business’ – Yinka Quadri Reveals Untold Story.
Veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri has disclosed that he voluntarily abandoned his education at a young age to help his father manage the family business and address a disagreement involving a relative.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The actor explained that his decision was driven by a desire to ease the burden on his father, who had become heavily dependent on a relative working in the family’s trading business.
Quadri shared the experience during an interview on the African A-List Podcast, published on YouTube on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
According to the veteran actor, his father never pressured him to leave school. Rather, he made the decision himself after observing the challenges facing his family and the situation surrounding the business.
He explained that the issue involved his late uncle’s son, who had been sent to work with his father to learn the family’s trading business.
Quadri said their parents had agreed that the young man would spend 10 years learning the trade before returning to his own family.
However, the arrangement continued beyond the agreed period, with the relative spending 16 years working alongside his father.
The actor noted that his father had grown so attached to the relative that he treated him almost like his own son, making the situation more complicated.
Explaining his decision to leave school, Quadri said, “I decided to leave school because I wanted to help my father manage the family business. My father depended heavily on my uncle’s son to run the business because he had spent many years learning the trade.
“Our parents agreed that he would spend 10 years learning the business before returning to his family. By the time I decided to leave school, he had already spent 16 years working with my father instead of the 10 years they initially agreed on. My father had become so attached to him that he treated him almost like his own son.”

‘I Can’t Date Younger Men’ – 62-Year-Old Mo Abudu Reveals Her Relationship Preference.
Nigerian filmmaker and media entrepreneur Mo Abudu has explained why she prefers dating men who are around her age or older, ruling out younger men as her ideal romantic partners.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
News reports that the 62-year-old media mogul shared her views during an interview with media personality Toke Makinwa.
During the conversation, Abudu spoke about heartbreak, dismissing the suggestion that a romantic relationship could easily leave her emotionally devastated at this stage of her life.
According to the filmmaker, any tears she sheds these days are more likely to be connected to her work than to issues involving a man.
She acknowledged that heartbreak might have affected her differently when she was younger but maintained that her priorities had changed over the years.
“I even cried recently. Heartbreak. Heartbreak. Nobody can break my heart. It’s not possible. Heartbreak. There’s no such thing as heartbreak at my age,” she said.
Abudu added that a man would not be the reason behind her tears, explaining that her professional responsibilities could sometimes become overwhelming.
When asked whether she would agree to go on a date with a man who approached her, the media entrepreneur said her decision would depend on whether he met her standards and expectations.
She explained that, at 62, she had established clear personal goals and would only consider a relationship that aligned with them.
“Right, I’m 62 years old, right, and I have set certain standards and goals for myself. So if you can meet my standards and my expectations, maybe you can take me out, maybe you can’t,” she stated.
The filmmaker also highlighted her financial independence as a major factor influencing her approach to relationships.
Abudu explained that she had reached a stage in her life where she could comfortably provide for herself and her family without depending on a romantic partner for financial support.
She stressed that she did not want a relationship that would introduce additional burdens into her life, noting that any potential partner must contribute positively to her well-being.
“The point is that I’m at a point in my life whereby I don’t need you to provide for me, right? I can pretty much provide for myself. I can provide for my family, which I do,” she said.
The media entrepreneur further emphasised that she was unwilling to take on a partner who would become a burden rather than a source of mutual support.
“The thing is that I don’t want anyone in my life that’s going to be a burden on me,” Abudu added.
She subsequently disclosed that she was more comfortable dating men within her age range or those who were slightly older.
Abudu attributed this preference partly to her traditional outlook on relationships, explaining that a man’s achievements and maturity were important considerations for her.
“I would rather date someone my age or someone slightly older,” she stated.
She further maintained that a prospective partner needed to have accomplished something significant in life to earn her respect.
“And therefore, in order for me to respect you, you must have achieved something. You must have. Because if you haven’t achieved it at 60, when do you want to achieve it?” she asked.
