BRGIE Announces Three-Day Sit-At-Home In South-East, Countering IPOB’s Plans
The Biafra Republic Government In-Exile (BRGIE) has issued a statement countering the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) regarding the date for a sit-at-home protest in honor of fallen Biafran heroes from the 1967-1970 Civil War in Nigeria.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to Prime Minister Simon Ekpa, the sit-at-home in Biafran territory will span from May 29th to May 31st, 2024, as opposed to IPOB’s declared date of May 30th, 2024. BRGIE emphasized that the sit-at-home will last for three days.

Ekpa explained that the sit-at-home was organized to facilitate Biafrans’ participation in voting for the Liberation of Biafra. He stressed the significance of casting votes for Biafra’s liberation during the sit-at-home period.

Highlighting the ongoing conflict between Biafrans and the Nigerian government, Ekpa stated that the Biafra Civil War has not ended in reality, persisting in various forms such as physical, military, political, and structural aspects.

In light of this, BRGIE urged Biafrans to utilize the sit-at-home period not only for remembrance but also as an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing struggle for Biafra’s liberation. Ekpa emphasized the importance of participation in the voting process as part of the Biafra Self Referendum.

He outlined the three stages of the Biafra Self Referendum, with the final stage set to conclude in November 2024. Additionally, Ekpa noted that the Declaration Convention would commence on November 29th and conclude on December 3rd, 2024.

BRGIE’s proactive approach aims to mobilize Biafrans and advance the cause of Biafra’s Liberation through active participation in the voting process and subsequent conventions.
