African Leaders Urged To Follow Senegal’s Example As President Faye Declares Assets Publicly

Faye’s decisive action in making his assets public has garnered praise from CHRICED, emphasizing its importance in fostering accountability and transparency in governance. The organization lauded Faye’s commitment to public welfare, highlighting the significance of leadership by example in promoting trust and integrity in government.
In its statement, CHRICED underscored the essential role of transparency in preventing corruption and unethical conduct among government officials. The organization stressed the need for leaders across Africa to prioritize transparency and accountability, echoing Faye’s demonstration of responsible leadership through asset declaration.
Furthermore, CHRICED urged Faye to uphold the rule of law and respect for the rights of Senegalese citizens, emphasizing the importance of ethical leadership in managing anticipated oil revenue and promoting national interest.
