The ceremonial event unfolded at the emir’s palace on Monday, with the District Head of Bauchi, Alhaji Nuru Adamu Jumba, representing the emir.

During the proceedings, the emir’s delegate commended the foundation’s philanthropic gesture and urged other benefactors to emulate its example in supporting the less fortunate.

Representing the Dangote Foundation, Alhaji Sani Suleiman presented 25,000 bags of 10kg rice to aid the state’s population, particularly in preparation for the upcoming Ramadan period. Advertisement

Alhaji Suleiman reiterated the foundation’s dedication to providing ongoing assistance to the state beyond the Ramadan season, demonstrating a sustained commitment to alleviating hardship among residents.

Professor Mansur Isa Yelwa, the Chief Imam of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Mosque, also addressed the assembly, advocating for the involvement of Islamic organizations in the distribution process to ensure equitable aid distribution across the state.
