The saga, which has captivated public attention, took a new twist as Wunmi, the widow of the acclaimed artist Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, stood her ground amidst mounting pressure for a paternity test on her son, Liam.
Amidst calls from Mohbad’s father and concerned Nigerians for a DNA test to determine the true paternity of Liam, Wunmi had previously expressed her openness to the idea, insisting that the test should be conducted both domestically and internationally.
However, in a series of emotional Instagram posts, Wunmi revealed the challenges she and Liam are facing, alleging threats and coercion.
“Nigerians, Liam and I are pleading for your mercy! Will you let history repeat itself? We are being threatened daily, stripped of our freedom! Nigerians, please lend us your support,” she implored.
Adding fuel to the controversy, Wunmi disclosed the pressure she faced from Mohbad’s father to conceive a child, questioning the sudden demand for a DNA test.
“I never planned to have a child then, but baba insisted that the Holy Spirit instructed him to have a grandson who would eventually bury him. I discovered I was pregnant on the 5th of August that same year, and my father-in-law was overjoyed by the news,” she revealed.
Undeterred by the accusations and pressure, Wunmi defiantly declared her readiness to undergo the DNA test, challenging her father-in-law to take legal action.
“Obtain a court order because it’s time to silence my detractors,” Wunmi proclaimed, signaling her determination to confront the allegations head-on.
As the saga unfolds, the public awaits the outcome of this high-stakes dispute, which has thrust the late Mohbad’s family into the spotlight and sparked widespread debate on matters of paternity, family dynamics, and legal recourse.

reports that the bout took place at Chaos in the Ring 4 inside Balmoral Hall at the Federal Palace Hotel, where Carter Efe also secured a ₦50 million cash prize following his victory.
The fight ended in his favour by unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring it 27–30.
Speaking after the match, Carter Efe said he felt like a global boxing star and described the fight as surprisingly easy. He claimed he dominated from the opening round and said Portable struggled significantly after absorbing early blows.
According to him, Portable began to lose energy by the second round and appeared unstable, while the final round saw him unable to maintain momentum.
“I am feeling like an international world star. My new name is Carter Mayweather. The fight was so easy. First round, I already damaged his face. Second round, he was shaking. Third round, he fainted,” he said.
Meanwhile, Portable has expressed dissatisfaction over the outcome of the match, alleging unfair treatment after his defeat to Carter Efe.

He accused Carter Efe of lacking professionalism and also alleged that the organisers failed to properly count his punches during the contest.

He said he eventually stopped pursuing her directly and turned to prayer, hoping things would change. According to him, after about a year and a few months, Adesua contacted him and referred to him as her husband, a moment he described as the turning point in their relationship. “Adesua was actually the one who asked me to be her husband. She kept me in the friend zone for a long time, so I stopped pushing and simply prayed to God to touch her heart. After a year and a few months, she finally called me ‘my husband’, and that’s it,” he said. Adesua also spoke about their marriage, revealing that they have been together for 10 years and still share a strong bond. She said they maintain affection through simple habits like holding hands and sleeping close to each other. She added that she once had reservations about marrying entertainers, pastors, and politicians, but noted that her husband fits all three categories, which she believes reflects a divine plan. “We’ve been married for 10 years and we still hold each other’s hands all the time.
