Speaking during an interview on the World Wide Podcast, Flavour recounted performing at a club venue when management instructed him to vacate the stage immediately because P-Square had arrived.
He described watching the crowd erupt in wild cheers as Paul Okoli took the microphone to perform their hit song “Temptation,” leaving him to wonder if they were even in the same profession.
“I was performing one time when PSquare came in, and the manager of the place told me to leave the stage immediately,” Flavour recalled. “I switched off my mic and went and sat down somewhere. Ladies were screaming and cheering wildly… I was wondering whether it is not the same music we are all doing.”
Rather than letting the public setback defeat him, Flavour noted that the incident served as a powerful catalyst to fuel his drive, hard work, and long-term consistency in the music industry.

“Rude Boy and Mr. P should get into the ring. Let them get into the ring and settle all these, you know, coming out, talking, talking. It is becoming too much. It makes no sense at their age,” Okocha stated.
