Ashwagandha acts as a soothing balm for frazzled nerves. As an adaptogen, it equips the body to tackle stress head-on. Research suggests that it regulates stress hormones like cortisol and supports the body’s first line of defence against stress—heat shock proteins.

Women experiencing chronic stress symptoms like extreme fatigue and insomnia can find solace in Ashwagandha’s calming embrace.

Inflammation is necessary for healing, but it can become chronic and uncontrollable. Ashwagandha has potent compounds such as Withanolides, which help in reducing inflammation. The compounds work by promoting a balanced inflammatory response which can help ease discomfort and support overall wellness.

Ashwagandha steps up as a hormone balancer. It normalises blood cortisol levels, supports thyroid function, and regulates reproductive hormones.

Hormonal fluctuations are a natural part of a woman’s life, but they can wreak havoc on energy levels, mood, and physical health. Ashwagandha’s potential to support hormonal balance is a topic of growing interest.

Research suggests it may help regulate cortisol levels, which can indirectly influence other hormones.

Additionally, some studies indicate Ashwagandha may be beneficial for specific hormonal concerns, such as those experienced during menstruation or menopause.

For women dealing with PCOS or menstrual cramps, Ashwagandha may offer relief.

The transition to menopause can be tumultuous. Ashwagandha eases the journey by managing symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings, and sleep disturbances. Its adaptogenic properties help the body adapt gracefully to hormonal shifts.

Recent studies indicate that Ashwagandha may enhance sexual health in hormonally balanced women. It’s like a secret whisper to the libido, encouraging desire and intimacy. So, ladies, consider Ashwagandha your ally in the bedroom.

A robust immune system is our shield against life’s challenges. Ashwagandha fortifies immunity, helping women ward off infections and stay resilient.

Ashwagandha isn’t just about physical health—it’s a brain booster too. Improved memory, enhanced focus, and better cognitive function are all part of its benefits.

Feeling sluggish can be a major roadblock to productivity and overall well-being. Studies suggest it may improve thyroid function, which plays a crucial role in metabolism and energy production.

Additionally, Ashwagandha, as an adaptogen, may help combat fatigue by supporting the body’s stress response.

But Ashwagandha’s benefits extend beyond simply feeling more awake. Some research indicates it may enhance athletic performance and muscle recovery. This is particularly interesting for women who lead active lifestyles or are looking to improve their fitness routines.

Beauty radiates from within, and Ashwagandha knows this well. Its antioxidant properties promote healthy skin and strong, glossy hair.

While Ashwagandha offers a range of potential benefits, it’s crucial to remember it’s not a magic bullet. Consulting a healthcare professional before starting Ashwagandha, especially if you have any underlying health conditions or are taking medication, is essential.

Additionally, pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid Ashwagandha due to a lack of conclusive research on its safety in these situations.

Ashwagandha’s journey from an ancient remedy to a potential powerhouse for women’s health is an exciting one. With its potential to combat stress, support hormonal balance, and promote overall well-being, Ashwagandha offers a natural approach to enhancing a woman’s life

Remember, it’s always best to consult with a healthcare professional before incorporating any new supplement into your routine, but for many women, Ashwagandha may be a key to unlocking a healthier, more balanced life.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Phrank Shaibu, on Thursday, Atiku described the survivor’s account as a “gory tale.” According to the former Vice President, who visited Niger State to meet with the families of the deceased, one survivor revealed that 68 detainees were crammed into a small detention cell. The survivor further stated that conditions became so dire in the NSCDC facility that they were forced to consume each other’s urine to remain hydrated.

Atiku condemned the treatment, asserting that no citizen should be subjected to such humiliation and indignity while in the custody of their own government. Carroll, 37, disclosed the traumatic experience in his newly released autobiography after deciding to include it following last-minute discussions with his partner, Lou Teasdale.

The incident took place during Carroll’s second spell with Newcastle United. According to the book, an acquaintance of his former partner—who was away at the time—had visited to watch a boxing match and was scheduled to stay overnight. Carroll stated that the man assaulted him while he was asleep. After discovering what happened, Carroll threw the man out of the house and subsequently knocked him unconscious when he attempted to return.

Following the incident, Carroll immediately called the police, later describing himself as “sobbing” in the arms of his children’s nanny. The perpetrator was subsequently convicted of sexual offenses, sentenced to three years in prison, and placed on the sex offender register. Carroll testified during the court proceedings, calling the ordeal “humiliating and embarrassing and absolutely horrendous.”

Writing about his decision to go public, Carroll reflected on the heavy emotional toll:

“I was sexually assaulted, there I said it. Scary to even think about, and only a few people knew about it before now… What happened to me affected every facet of my life. I’d think about it every day, making it difficult to focus on anything else, including football… The trauma of what happened to me hasn’t gone away.”

Despite the hardships, the former international hopes that sharing his story will encourage others to speak out, adding that if it helps just one person, it will have been worth it. Carroll currently plays for Dagenham & Redbridge, having joined the club in July 2025.

Why Are Students Becoming Politicians, Going About To Inspect Projects? – Reuben Abati Tackles Umahi.

Published

on

Former presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati, has questioned Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, for allowing the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) to inspect road projects across the country and submit reports.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to reports, a NANS delegation, led by President Comrade Babatunde Akinteye Afeez, conducted a nationwide tour of Federal Roads Projects, visiting sites in the North-West and other regions. Following the inspection, the students praised the quality and pace of the construction but also highlighted areas needing improvement, such as pedestrian bridges near tertiary institutions located on major highways.

Umahi expressed his satisfaction that the students had independently initiated the project site visits across the six geopolitical zones. He noted that the students declined the Ministry of Works’ offer of logistical support, insisting on conducting their own assessments and forming their own conclusions.

However, during an appearance on Arise Television’s Morning Show, Abati challenged Umahi’s decision to involve students in duties typically performed by politicians or government officials. Abati argued that students should prioritize their academic responsibilities over inspecting road projects.

Abati stated, “Minister Umahi was talking to a group of students, NANS. They went on an inspection of Federal Government road projects in Kano, Jigawa, Kaduna, all the way to Sokoto State and the whole of the North-West. And they brought a report to the Minister of Works that this is what we have observed. Please, how is it that Nigerian students are now the ones going about inspecting road projects? These are students, NANS is an association of students. Why are these students not focusing on their studies? Why are they becoming politicians, going about inspecting projects and giving reports to the minister? When I was a student, we were very serious people, you have to stay on campus, you have to attend classes, but now students are inspecting road projects and I find that very curious.”
