President Tinubu’s directive, issued on Wednesday, instructed the opening of Nigeria’s land and air borders with the Republic of Niger and the lifting of other sanctions against the country with immediate effect.

In compliance with this directive, Nandap directed all Comptrollers stationed at States and Border Commands along the Nigeria-Niger Republic border to promptly lift all restrictions on human movement. The Immigration Service assures that it will continue to facilitate safe and orderly border crossings while maintaining the integrity and security of Nigeria’s borders.

In a related development, the Federal Government has announced plans to allocate N178.9 billion towards implementing the eight priority areas of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Zaphaniah Jisalo, outlined key priority areas of the strategic plan, including food security, poverty alleviation, economic growth, access to capital, security, fairness, and anti-corruption measures.

President Tinubu has given full backing for the implementation of the ₦68.32 trillion 2026 budget after signing the Appropriation Bill passed by the National Assembly into law.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

He also approved an amendment extending the lifespan of the 2025 budget from March 31 to June 30, 2026, to ensure completion of ongoing capital projects nationwide.

Under the 2026 fiscal plan, ₦4.799 trillion is set aside for statutory transfers, ₦15.8 trillion for debt servicing, ₦15.4 trillion for recurrent spending, while ₦32.2 trillion goes to capital projects—about half of the total budget.
