At the 2024 Oscars ceremony held at the prestigious Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, renowned WWE star and actor John Cena stole the spotlight with a daring move that left audiences stunned…..READ ALSO
Cena, aged 46, grabbed attention as he graced the stage to present the coveted Best Costume Award in a manner that was unexpected, to say the least.
Hosted by the charismatic Jimmy Kimmel, the event marked its 96th edition with Cena’s presence adding an unforgettable twist. Referencing a historical incident from the Oscars’ past, Kimmel invoked the memory of Robert Opel’s infamous streaking incident during the 50th anniversary ceremony. Opel’s bold dash across the stage in the nude had disrupted proceedings, forever etching his name in Oscars lore.
Taking the audience by surprise, Kimmel posed the rhetorical question, “Can you imagine if a nude man ran across the stage today?” Little did they know that Cena was ready to answer that question in the most unconventional way possible.
Backstage, Cena whispered to Kimmel, prompting him to proceed with the plan. However, as Cena made his way onto the stage, he had a change of heart about the streaker bit, expressing discomfort with the idea given the event’s elegance.
In a remarkable display of spontaneity, Cena made his entrance onto the stage sans clothing, save for a discreetly positioned envelope covering his modesty. Despite his unconventional attire (or lack thereof), Cena delivered a brief yet impactful speech on the importance of costumes in filmmaking, emphasizing their significance in shaping cinematic narratives.
As Cena humorously struggled to open the envelope containing the winner’s name, Kimmel stepped in to assist, seamlessly carrying on with the proceedings. Eventually, Cena graciously donned a gold toga to present the esteemed statuette to Holly Waddington, the talented costume designer behind the acclaimed film “Poor Things.”
Cena’s unexpected and audacious gesture left an indelible mark on the 2024 Oscars ceremony, sparking a flurry of reactions and conversations across social media platforms. While some lauded Cena’s boldness and humor, others debated the appropriateness of his impromptu stunt on such a prestigious stage.
Regardless of differing opinions, Cena’s memorable appearance underscored his penchant for making a statement, both in and out of the wrestling ring. As the night progressed, Cena’s bold move remained a topic of discussion, adding an element of unpredictability to an already unforgettable evening in the world of cinema.

Atiku Opens Up On ADC 2027 Game Plan, Says Consensus Candidate Comes First.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will first pursue a consensus arrangement before considering a primary election for its 2027 presidential ticket.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Atiku made this known during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday while discussing the party’s leadership and strategy ahead of the next general election.
He said he is open to backing a consensus candidate if that becomes the party’s collective decision, stressing that such support should not be interpreted as stepping aside.
“It is not about stepping aside, but whether I am willing to support, and yes, I will,” Atiku said.
According to him, the ADC’s first priority is to build internal unity and reach an agreement among stakeholders before considering a competitive primary process.
“Our first option will be to work out a consensus. If that doesn’t happen, then of course we will explore other options. And yes, I will support whoever eventually emerges,” he stated.
Atiku also expressed confidence in the political experience within the party, saying he believes a consensus is achievable and may make a full-scale primary contest unnecessary.
“That remains our preferred path. We will go for primaries if consensus fails, but I honestly do not expect it to get to that stage because we are dealing with mature and experienced politicians,” he added.
His comments come amid growing political consultations and coalition talks as parties begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
